Petersburg "Artdocfest" starts simultaneously with Moscow on December 9 with the Russian premiere of Hertz Frank's latest film "On the verge of fear." Throughout the week, the Angleterre Cinema on Malaya Morskaya 24 and on the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater will show the entire 2014 competition program. In addition, the program includes meetings and discussions with representatives of St. Petersburg author's cinema.
December 13 at Angleterre Cinema will host the event "Saturday.Doc" - five hours of political cinema and discussions. On December 14, the six-hour marathon "Artdocfest on the New Stage: the theater watches a movie" will be held on the new stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater.
The closing of the festival will also take place simultaneously in two capitals. On December 17, in parallel with the official awarding ceremony for the laureates of the competition, Petersburg will sum up its results.
Recently, the festival has completely lost state funding for political reasons. According to the head of the Ministry of Culture, Vladimir Medinsky, the political position of the festival organizer Vitaly Mansky is to blame.
