On the 2nd Sovetskaya street, the Bakunin beer shop was opened - the brainchild of Alexander Romanenko, a cider supplier, and his friends from the Tsvetochka bar on Rubinstein. Now in the assortment of about 280 varieties of bottled beer. By the official opening, which they plan to arrange next week, will collect as much.
The store has a small tasting room serving draft beer, mainly from Belgium, Germany and Britain. Only 15 varieties, some of which will become permanent, while the rest will be periodically updated. A special pride of the institution is the drinks of amateur brewers from Russia, either having their own small production, or renting equipment from large breweries. They make very limited batches of beer, and often even brew it once.
You can take any beer with you or try it on the spot. And in the tasting room in June, a free cycle of lectures by the beer sommelier and blogger Yuri Katunin will begin.
The name "Bakunin" was chosen for several reasons. We really love craft breweries that produce only two or three types of beer in small batches. These are peculiar anarchists in brewing. Well, Bakunin, respectively, was an anarchist, so they named him after him. Nearby is just Bakunin Street - this is the second reason.
